£9.25 Per hour Senior Support Worker

and

£8.00 Per hour for RSWs



Full Time - 42 hrs



Major Healthcare are a specialist Health and Social Care Recruitment consultancy and we are recruiting for a leading North - West Leaving Care provider. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Support Workers and Supervisory staff to work with young people in the North West. You will be expected to be comfortable to working with young people with EBD, MH histories in a brand new leaving care (age 16-19) environment in the Aintree area of Liverpool. This is a fantastic service of the highest standard of 1-2-1 support young people in a semi-independent living accommodation.

The service supports clients that require 24 hour independent living support. You will be required to work long days and nights on a two week rota. You will tend to work 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next.



You will provide support and independent living skills to various clients by utilising your skills and training. As a support worker you will be responsible for the physical and mental wellbeing of the service users, whilst having an understanding and non-judgemental attitude. You will work with various service users including children and young adults with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.



Your duties may include:



* Providing high standard of support to all services users

* Promoting and encouraging independent living

* Supporting and encouraging the clients to engage with employers, education centres

* You may eventually work with several clients across a floating support service so a car driver and vehicle would be advantageous.



The ideal candidate will:



* Have an NVQ level 3 in children's and young people services, or equivalent (desirable)

* Be a driver with access to own transport (there are a number pool cars available)

* Have at least 6 months paid experience in children's/young people or similar support worker role

* Have excellent communication skills - written and verbal

* Be motivated, flexible, and reliable

* A current (transferable) DBS or happy to undertake a new one



What you will receive:



* Highly competitive pay-rate of £9.25 per hour

* Shift Patterns: Working Days 08:00 am - 20:00pm on days and on Nights 20:00pm - 08:00 (3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next)
