Plus, as a sex worker, you should always use your instinct. If you sense a red flag or something that doesn\u2019t feel right about a client, don\u2019t see them, and even if you have confirmed a date, cancel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Q: How can you avoid meeting dangerous clients in the first place?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A<\/strong>: Avoid going to their home and don\u2019t meet in car parks, outdoor establishments or in the street. Consider hotel visits, as this minimises safety risks. If they\u2019re under the influence of drugs and alcohol, this client could become unsafe. Sometimes, you may just feel unsafe without knowing the reason &#8211; this is a red flag too.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Q: What are your top safety tips for sex workers when meeting a client?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A<\/strong>: For <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivastreet.co.uk\/blog\/how-to-be-safe-as-a-sex-worker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sex work safety<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, always tell someone where you are, who you are with, and when you will be home. And don&#8217;t forget to tell your client that someone knows where you are and who you are with too. I didn\u2019t do anything with it, but it was one of my hoops. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always practice <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivastreet.co.uk\/blog\/safe-sex-guide-for-sex-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">safe sex<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without exception, and keep personal possessions with you at all times, including the money they have paid for your services. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoid drugs and\/or excessive alcohol so you can stay on guard. For times when you may feel like you&#8217;re in danger, carry a can of hairspray to spray in their eyes if necessary. Always stay calm and polite in a situation like this, so as not to aggravate the situation.
