But have you ever wondered when and how us Brits like to get down and dirty? Well, wonder no more. Wednesdays have been dubbed as &#8220;hump day&#8221; for a reason, with <strong>10% of people indicating that this is their favourite day of the week to have sex<\/strong>. According to Melancon, midweek sex can break up the monotony of the workweek and \u201cbring a dash of fun to a time that can otherwise feel like you&#8217;re merely dragging your body along for the ride\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Those over 65 also seem to particularly enjoy hump day, as it was voted the second favourite day of the week to have sex by this age group<\/strong>. According to our survey, Friday is the second most popular day of the week to have sex, with <strong>24% of respondents indicating that this is their favourite day to get intimate<\/strong>. <strong>34% of those chose Friday night to have sex<\/strong> and experts suggest that Friday sex can be particularly enjoyable as it is the start of the weekend, and people are typically more relaxed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taylor explains that \u201c\u2018Feel good Friday\u2019 is actually a thing. Work is done for the week and it&#8217;s playtime. If there has been more sex than sleep on a Friday night, there is more time to recover, and you can start the weekend on a high.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Thank God it&#8217;s Friday!\u00a0 For those who work or go to school, Friday night is a much-needed break.\u00a0 Many people sleep in on the weekends, so we may stay up and have fun later, which also affords more time for sex.&#8221; &#8211; Sarah Melancon<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sexploring Saturday<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturdays are typically associated with fun and adventure, and sex is no exception. According to our findings, <strong>27% of Brits chose Saturday as their favourite day to have sex making it the most popular day of the week to sexplore<\/strong>, with sex experts suggesting that this may be because people have more time to explore and experiment on the weekends. Sex experts suggest that Sunday sex can be particularly enjoyable as it provides a sense of closure to the week and prepares individuals for the start of a new week. \u201cBecause of the 48-hour sex \u2018afterglow\u2019, Sunday sex can help individuals and couples feel more relaxed and positive at the beginning of the week,\u201d says Melancon.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Sex is great for distraction, and if the thoughts about work and stress are starting to creep in on a Sunday, then it\u2019s the perfect excuse to get into bed. Lifting endorphins and boosting moods, can help to remove any dread or anxiety of the week ahead. Often, an emotional connection helps facilitate arousal, and in the evening, away from the morning rush, there can be more space for talking and spending time together, which may facilitate sexual interest in many women.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith testosterone levels being at their highest first thing in the morning for men, it\u2019s no wonder they like to have sex when they wake up.
