However, some will claim that several of them can be traced back to childhood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some will even claim that many fetishes develop before a person has even become aware of their own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivastreet.co.uk\/blog\/lgbtiq-acronyms-explained-a-complete-glossary-of-common-terms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sexuality<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Certified sexological bodyworker &amp; somatic sex educator, Anna Stella Sonnenbaum says fetishes arise from past experiences, whether that be trauma, which according to Sonnenbaum, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201ca stethoscope or nurse uniform fetish can be linked to children being traumatised by medical treatments, and turning their strong emotional response into sexual pleasure to come to terms with it.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, Sonnenbaum stresses that it\u2019s important to also realise that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cnot all fetishes are linked to trauma.
