The Role We are delighted to be supporting a fantastic employer in Burgess hill who are seeking a Glass Processing Operator to join their busy team. You will operate across all areas of the glass department ensuring that all activities are competed in accordance with schedules and deadlines. Responsibilities include: Ensure that all glass is manufactured and processed effectively and efficiently to a high standard to meet all quality control measures. Ensure that all machinery is operated in a safe manner. Operating a gantry crane and forklift, as well as offloading glass from float liners into racks. Complete paperwork as necessary. Ensure that all waste is kept to a minimum and that use and cutting of glass is optimised. Keep testing records complete and up to date. Assist with glass stock control Ensure that all equipment, machinery and the work environment are kept and maintained in a clean and tidy and organised manner at all times. Requirements We expect the successful candidate to have previously worked in a Glass Manufacturing environment with experience of cutting large volumes of glass to low tolerances . You must be confident in 'all things glass' such as cutting glass by hand, glass stock control and offloading glass.
