Assistant Estimator My Client within the Construction industry is looking for an Assistant Estimator to work within their office based in the Stroud area of Kent. You will ideally have approx a years experience within this role. Estimator Role Prepare estimates for specified responses to PQQs, ITTs, pitches and proposals in conjunction with marketing and business development manager. Hand over budgets to commercial / QS department for take on. Estimator Responsibilities Creation, management and monitoring of budgets for tenders, pitches and proposals Hand over of information to commercial department and maintenance of information on Project Probe. Estimator Key Tasks Compiling assigned compliant and competitive tenders, within deadlines. Pre-handover budget compiling and guided value engineering. Post-handover budget inputting onto Project Probe. Ensure all assigned opportunities and tenders are tracked and chased and results noted, including conversion to next stage, or closure. Update subcontractor, supplier and client information on Project Probe, as necessary. Attend estimating meetings as required. Attend assigned handover meetings and ensure all information is agreed and recorded. Continue liaison with commercial and contracts departments as required. Liaise with procurement, ordering and finance for pricing and costs of labour and materials. Liaise with materials suppliers and sub-contractors as required. Liaise with clients and prospects as required. Estimator Competencies Programme and project management manage production of initial programme for handover to contracts. Responsibilities include: Directing the finance function and providing commercial / strategic support to the business. Undertaking effective cash flow / capital management and preparing analysis to identify risks and opportunities. Preparation of forecasts, P&Ls, monthly management / annual statutory accounts and VAT returns. Coordinating month-end close processes and reporting cycles through engagement and partnering with wider teams. Day-to-day payment processing, VAT Returns Multi currency banking reconciliation & payment runs Weekly invoice payments & P&L reviewing Setting and monitoring budgets Bookkeeping, including posting purchase invoices and reconciling bank accounts Preparing payment runs and inputting payments into bank for director sign off Payroll COGS analysis / Pricing, cost and margin analysis Overall financial plan to support business strategies Inc, budgets, forecast, actual and cashflow About You: Chartered accountant Experience in consumer goods or fashion a big plus Self starter and looking to grow within the company Aligned with Cou Cou’s core values and mission (sustainability, inclusivity, social responsibility) Organised: is able to juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines, etc. Process-driven: is able to create and follow a well-documented process for exec
