Job lot of HARDCOVER ANNUALS ranging from 1976 to 1981. Please refer to pictures for details of title and year published. All books still firmly together. The covers on some have light wear to corners and spine ends. Some of the pages are off white due to their age. The puzzles / crosswords have been completed. The Fab 208 and Mates 1976 annual are in fair condition as some pictures have been cut out (by a lovestruck teenager!). Some writing inside. All the others are in good condition. The Mighty Thor #296 - Published 11th March 1980 The Eye of Odin continues to tell its tale to Thor. He sees a version of himself, but apparently mortal, fighting against a storm, until he sees a dwelling and seeks shelter within. A woman gets him some water when her husband comes home, and offers him his hospitality. Hunding asks for his story and this mortal Thor tells him his name is Woe-King, he had a twin sister and their father's name was Wulf. 7.0 Grade - The basic minimum for most collectors but depends on your budget! This is a comic with wear showing on the edges or stress around the staples. Still clean and flat with a small mark or cover writing but I do mean small. Pages may be yellowing slightly but no brown edges. Above average, read a few times and stored away with at least some concern. Flex, Murmur, Radius, and Sunfire are sitting at a table, eating and conversing while a waitress brings them water to drink. They are all in uniform. Alpha Flight #-1 - Published 14th May 1997 The story opens outside a church. It is James MacDonald Hudson’s wedding day and the bridegroom is getting dressed just outside the building. His best man Logan is helping James by tying his bow tie. Logan wants to make sure that James knows what he is doing with this wedding. He asks whether "Mac" knows where to stand within the church, and James answers that he does know. Logan then instructs him to not not mumble his marriage vows, because it will make him sound insincere. Alpha Flight #6 - Published 12th November 1997 The story opens at the Department H Headquarters. Sasquatch has somehow managed to escape his cell and then vanished. General Jeremy Clarke and Puck are investigating the broken remains of the cell to determine what happened. Clarke claims that Department H has no idea how or when did the beast escape. Puck does not believe him, already knowing that every room in this building has an operational camera. Clarke replies that Sasquatch kept destroying the camera in his cell due to its position close to his shackled arm. They reportedly had yet to replace the last camera or approved the paperwork needed to reposition it. X-Men #105 - Published 16th Aug 2000 Betsy and Warren are attacked in Warren’s NYC penthouse, which is left in ruins. The two telekinetically jettison themselves from the building and crash land in a construction site in Hoboken, New Jersey, where they are attacked by the Twisted Sisters. The five sisters have been hired to kill one of them, but they do not specify which one they are after. Betsy and Warren assume it is Warren they are after and do their best to escape, but are easily defeated. Rogue and the other X-Men pick up the energy spike when Betsy jettisoned the two from the penthouse and help the lovers fight and defeat the Twisted Sisters. After the Sisters are taken by the NYPD and everything cleared up, Warren and Betsy leave, not knowing that the man who hired the Sisters is watching them. In truth, Betsy was the real target, because the telepathic villain who hired the Sisters has a vendetta against her. Meanwhile, Mystique discovers that Cable has infiltrated Senator Ke
