A beautiful and rare piece of British history.

British Government special commission which were produced in 1937 designed and modelled by Dame Laura Knight. Retailed by Burleigh and made under the Grafton China Co. name.

The colours are rich and strong with no fading whatsoever (unlike some others offered). These souvenir mugs rank as the finest design of coronation mugs ever produced by this well know artist at the time. They were also quite expensive compared to the cheap mass produced types on the market!

They come with their original copy of the (colour) certificates issued.

One is approximately 8 cm tall and the one with the gilded lion head handle (the inside of the rim is also gilded) is 9cm tall and has a slightly larger circumference to the base.
