We know that sex workers are currently facing extreme hardship due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis engulfing the country and the world. Due to the strict social distancing measures currently in place, many of our users will not be able to work during this period, and we want to do what we can to help them at this difficult time.
We’re pleased to announce today that Vivastreet will be matching donations to sex worker support initiatives – primarily SWARM’s hardship fund - up to £100,000 during this period of crisis. By matching public donations we will provide vital financial help to sex workers at this time of particular need, and we urge anyone who is able to make a donation to consider doing so.
SWARM is a collective founded and led by sex workers who believe in self-determination, solidarity and co-operation.
We campaign for the rights and safety of everyone who sells sexual services. Together we organise skill-shares and support meet-ups just for sex workers, as well as public events.
We are UK based and part of the global sex worker led movement advocating the full decriminalisation of sex work.
