All wood (may be elm/oak ?)antique chair that was repaired on one arm before we were donated it (my drama group for use in plays)but is very sound and indeed cos of dark stain hardly noticeable.Skilled restorer could probably fix it without need for brackets.Similarly the small crack in one slat of back has never widened in 20 yrs we've had the chair ! so fair to say not a problem ! Altogether good solid chair that after strip down,if desired,would become a charming "retro" piece of furniture.Proceeds go to group funds as with other items I list.Collection from either my home (Bedworth) or group venue (Earlsdon,Coventry).

Small all pine (we're told possibly hand made)"Captain's Chair" donated to drama group many yrs ago for use in plays but no longer needed.Sold now to aid funds.As photos show some surface scratches ,blemishes but no deep cuts,breaks etc so very solid chair that with good sanding down ,re-varnish will look as new.It slightly smaller that these chairs can be - which is why we think it was.custom made.Dimensions are Seat 20ins wide,depth 16ins (14.5 to spindles)Back from seat 18ins.Height from floor to seat 17 ins approx,so full height 35/6ins .Spread depth on floor due to angle of legs 17ins..Very sturdy but being pine not heavy to move around.Collection from either Bedworth or Coventry - see other listings.Could even deliver - ask for details.
