Description

Are you a driven and motivated Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer or an inexperienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer? Are you looking to develop your career as a Mechanical Design Engineer with a highly reputable, expanding company? If yes, then please read on... My client works predominantly in the following sectors throughout the UK and Europe: Hotels, Education, Healthcare and Retail outlets. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own projects as well as a team of engineers. You will be required to deal with projects in the UK and Europe from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover under the guidance of a director. Skills that will be developed include but are not limited to the following: * HVAC design calculation in accordance with CIBSE guidelines in conjunction with building physicist * Liaison with building physicist for thermal modelling input criteria and results * Design and specification of renewable technologies * Part L Compliance checking in conjunction with building physicist * Detail development of concept designs to include equipment selection and specification etc * Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors * Project Management * Site inspections Requirements/ Qualifications needed to be considered for this role: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Building Services) * Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a mechanical design engineer in the UK with working knowledge of British Standards. * Have a current CSCS Card * Excellent Design Skills * Ideally you will be familiar with BREEAM (preferred but not essential) * Ideally you will have some experience on projects involving naturally ventilated buildings (preferred but not essential) * You must have a good working knowledge of UK building regs (especially Parts G, F and L) * Ideally you will have knowledge of REVIT MEP (preferred but not essential) * You must be able to show proof of your
