Description

Engage Talent Partners are pleased to be working exclusively with our Peterhead based client to source and recruit a Warehouse Supervisor. Working from their state of the art facility our client provide their product to a global client base. The Warehouse Supervisor will be the focal point between management and the stores team and will be experienced in people management as well as electronic stock control, receipting goods and dispatching, whilst adhering to company policies and health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities: * Supervise employees and actively participate in their hiring, appraisal, and training. * Allocate work to the store employees and track their progress. Provide guidance and advice where necessary. * Allocate work based on employees’ abilities and strengths with the objective of meeting the store’s targets. * Keep costs under control and look after administrative matters in the store. * Track inventory levels, prevent pilferage and breakage. * Make suggestions related to improving store performance to management. * Supervise customer complaints. * Educate store employees about the organisation’s policies and procedures. * Prepare reports on the various aspects of store performance and submit them to management. Requirements: * The candidate should have several years of supervisory experience in a similar role. * Forklift/reach truck experience * The warehouse supervisor will be expected to provide guidance and direction to a team of store employees. * The candidate should have strong written and spoken communication skills. The store supervisor will need to hold regular team meetings with employees. The position also requires periodic reports to be submitted to the management. * The store supervisor will ensure the successful implementation of the organisation’s policies and procedures. * The candidate should be comfortable working with numbers and possess basic math skills. * Candidates must have the ability to function well un
