Description
Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) * Ideally, the applicant for the Technical Sales Engineer should have an Automotive Industry related successful education or business management degree and 5 years experience in the automotive or heavy duty automotive on-road and off-road and supply industry. * The TSE should be familiar with day to day sales, identifying new markets, planning and visiting potential clients and operators or contact and identify potential leads by telephone, email and on twitter, accept guidance given and be able to work independently and field based without direct supervision. Experience and knowledge especially in Up-To-Date Emission Technologies or the supply industry thereof would be an advantage but are not essential. A clean driving license is essential. * The TSE is expected to work closely together with the company’s UK based Representative and Sales Engineer and Sales, Product Support and Development Personnel in Germany. They are expected to report to the UK based Managing Director and be based and coordinate any appointments and operations from the UK base in Swindon. * The company expects the successful TSE applicant to attend training and product sessions in Germany on a regular basis – initially intensive to be up to speed in all matters relating to company products and process knowledge. Interaction with the German opposite colleagues is vital. * The applicant is also expected to contribute to the completion of industry tenders and quotations as well as contribute to data gathered and processed and stored, either in the UK or in Germany. This also includes the follow on and processing of successful orders. * The applicant is expected to have reasonable input and participate in marketing exercises such as trade shows, industry forums and press briefs, helping to shape UK brochure input and put forward new marketing ideas. Helping to constantly update the website for the latest venues and products together with the marketing department
