User Welfare

Our approach:

At Vivastreet, we are committed to being a responsible business. That means operating our platform in a responsible way, promoting safety and security and working collaboratively with partners.

Safety, health and wellbeing:

Providing a safe platform for legal advertising is our top priority. We are committed to eradicating any potential fraud or exploitation from our platform, and we have a wide range of measures in place to detect and remove potentially problematic material. To help you buy and sell safely, we have teamed up with Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud and internet crime reporting centre. For our adult sections, we have partnerships in place with National Ugly Mugs a specialist charity that works with police forces across the country, and The Modern Slavery Helpline, through which we encourage customers and users to raise concerns about the safety of advertisers, and Client Eye, a safety app to help advertisers anonymously report time wasters and abusive clients.

The health and wellbeing of those who advertise on our site is also very important to us, which is why we have created our Support Services Hub where you can find links to specialist charities and organisations who can provide advice and support on everything from health and safety through to financial, legal and employment issues. We recognise that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge financial impact on some of our customers, which is why we have provided over £135,000 of funding to non-profit organisations over the last year, to help alleviate financial hardship. We are also exploring providing personal money advice for our advertisers through a specialist third party provider, as well as funding a programme for those wishing to transition out of adult services.

Collaborating with partners:

Being a responsible platform operator means collaborating with partner organisations that provide operational and educational support, tools, and resources to keep our customers and users safe. In addition to our partnerships with National Ugly Mugs and The Modern Slavery Helping, to reduce harm, report concerns and promote the welfare and safety of those who advertise with us, we work with Government and police forces across the country to detect potential criminality, remove bad actors from our platform, and assist with prosecutions.

Privacy:

Vivastreet believes in protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we will treat the personal information which you provide to us while using the website.
