Much loved books

Alpha Flight #57 - Published 8th December 1987 Alpha and Beta Flight land on a planet to refuel the Box ship. The infighting between the team and Goblyn continues, then the scene shifts to the Liveworld where Goblyn has hidden Laura and Purple Girl. They then return to Alpha and Beta Flight. The Box ship begins to absorb the mass of the uninhabited planet for energy. The planet then comes to life. Goblyn subdues the planet. The team then escapes the planet, but the Dreamqueen is still watching Laura. 9.5 Grade - Near-perfect, with only minuscule flaws allowed (such as slight spine stress or tiny, almost invisible imperfections).

West Coast Avengers #29 - Published 6th October 1987 Moon Knight is hot on the trail of the sinister Cornelius Van Lunt - but considering that Van Lunt is Taurus of the late great Zodiac cartel, Moon Knight may find more than he bargained for! 6.5 Grade - The basic minimum for most collectors but depends on your budget! This is a comic with wear showing on the edges or stress around the staples. Still clean and flat with a small mark or cover writing but I do mean small. Pages may be yellowing slightly but no brown edges. Above average, read a few times and stored away with at least some concern. A staple may be detached but, if that' the case, the rest of the comic should appear Very Fine. For British comics, a little more wear on the spine and cover is permissible and there may be some corner curl evident. British comics are all shapes and sizes so corners and edges suffer more. Again, think that this is a comic that has clearly been looked after in its history.

West Coast Avengers #30 - Published 3rd November 1987 He's got all the powers of the West Coast Avengers - and he's not the Super-Adaptoid! The question isn't how the West Coast Avengers will beat him, but how will they survive the battle? 5.0 Grade - The basic minimum for most collectors but depends on your budget! West Coast Avengers #31 - Published 1st December 1987 The return of ARKON! But wait - wasn't Arkon just a movie character from Wonder Man's acting career? Not anymore, and his next target is the West Coast Avengers! Plus: to kill a Mockingbird! 7.0 Grade - The basic minimum for most collectors but depends on your budget! West Coast Avengers #32 - Published 5th January 1988 The WC Avengers are off in the Grand Canyon - and in battle with the giant YETRIGAR! But there's more to this encounter than meets the eye…just what is Mockingbird up to? 8.0 Grade - Very slight wear beginning to show around the staples and stress points owing to the comic being opened and read (carefully) two or three times and stored away with some care. For American comics, most of the cover lustre still remains and for British comics the cover should be flat, uniform creamy or off-white with only a few very minor stress creases at the spine. For American comics, only the tiniest spine wear at the top or bottom but no cover marks, no tears, no prominent creases (perhaps 2mm and quite hard to spot). The pages can be creamy or off-white but in no way yellowing and with no darker page edges. For Very Fine, think simply Very Sharp.

Alpha Flight #94 - Published 8th January 1991 Ben Grimm (The Thing) is in Canada to help Alpha Flight, but the team's resident powerhouse, Walter Langkowski (Sasquatch), has been mentally compromised. Driven into a feral, brainwashed rage, Sasquatch is no longer in control of his actions and views everyone as a threat. 8.0 Grade - Very slight wear beginning to show around the staples and stress points owing to the comic being opened and read (carefully) two or three times and stored away with some care. Alpha Flight #95 - Published 12th February 1991 Aurora enters a church in Toronto seeking advice. In confession, she says that she has sought to conform the ways of others to her own through violence. She explains her life up to this point and her discomfort at using her ability in a violent way. The priest tells her that if she wishes to use her ability to give serenity, she should, though only in the way she wishes. Later she finds several homeless asking for money. She says she can't give them all money and instead uses her power to give them hope. 5.0 Grade - An average, second-hand, obviously read copy with marks and minor defects but still respectable and appealing. Printing lustre almost gone but not soiled or heavily stained and no tape evident, apart from a small piece of magic tape to repair a tear. There is noticeable wear on the spine and even the start of a spine roll and one staple may be slightly loose. The pages may be yellowing with the first signs of slight brownin

On his monitoring systems, he sees that the Alreyda has run aground in the Queen Maud Gulf and is slowly spilling over five hundred millions of crude oil into the water. Alpha Flight arrive to help with the relief effort. He decides to amuse himself by cloning a human specimen in the clothes of an Alreyda crewman and teleporting it into the lower corridors of the tanker. 5.5 Grade - The basic minimum for most collectors but depends on your budget!
