Description

A therapeutic school in South East London for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions is seeking a PE Teacher to join their team on a long term basis. This school caters for pupils with extremely complex needs; adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and experiences of toxic stress. It is therefore imperative that their behaviour policy is flexible, effective and centred on rewarding positive behaviours and building positive relationships, in line with their therapeutic approach. They understand that pupils' behaviours need to be viewed within the context of the many negative and complex factors outlined above. They, therefore, use therapeutic strategies that work with pupils' difficulties in order to help them realise their full potential Requirements: QTS and NQT Induction completion or equivalent teacher training currently leading to full QTS and subsequently NQT Induction (essential) At least a good first degree in a core subject (essential) A range of experience in delivering the primary curriculum or a secondary subject area to children with SEMH (essential) Further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN (desirable) Apply now or call Ronni on (phone number removed) for more information!
